Hello, Summer!

Greetings from hot and humid Georgia! We've been enjoying the past months with many fun activities and wanted to give you a little update.

Ben finished up his Rookie year of T-ball and has asked me to remember not to ask him to play ever again. He loved to bat, but all the other parts were "way too boring"! Jack and I attended most of his practices and games since Derek was working 2nd shift much of the spring and worked many Saturday mornings too. Jack loves the idea of being part of a team, so we'll see if he's interested in a team sport within the next few years.

In late April, my college friend, Loriann, invited us all to her new vacation spot on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. What a beautiful place! We enjoyed the ocean, the nature trails, the incredible food and friendship for a long weekend. Lori, thanks soooo much! What a nice escape :)

In early May, Derek was invited to receive an award within Boeing -- The Silver Eagle. We were both flown out to Long Beach, where we were able to catch up with great friends and Derek's team was awarded for the great work they do. The boys stayed here at home with good friends that spoiled them WAY too much. They keep asking when we're leaving again.

We've all been enjoying the golf course this year. Derek and I play together or with other friends, but this year the boys have been getting out there with us too. Our little "hitter", Ben, can drive that ball 140 yards! He participated in a golf camp in late June that he loved, despite the heat. Each of the 5 days, the kids did drills and practiced their skills and were rewarded with an hour at the pool and lunch.

We hope that you are enjoying your summer just as much as we are. It won't be long before we start our lessons once again and Fall is upon us.

Visit us anytime!
Love,
Michelle

Looks like things are going well! Your boys are getting so big!

It's been "humid" here -- you remember, as soon as there's any humidity in the air, people freak out. I remember visits to Georgia, Florida, and So Carolina in summer. Now THAT's humid!

Hugs,
Leslie
